A Shredder That Moves to the Scrap, Not the Other Way Around
Demolition sites, industrial estates, and transfer stations share one problem: the scrap is scattered, and hauling unprocessed light metal to a fixed plant means paying to transport air. The TG-MobileTrack 120 is a track-mounted mobile twin-shaft shredder that solves the transport problem at its source. Its 2 x 30 kW electric drive is fed by an onboard diesel generator, the 700 x 500 mm cutting chamber handles sheet metal, aluminum profiles, and cable where the scrap is generated, and the foldable discharge conveyor loads a truck directly. Rated output is 1.5 to 4 tons per hour on light scrap.
For contractors without a fixed yard, the economics are straightforward. A machine that travels with the demolition crew or estate collection round eliminates haulage of loose scrap, reduces double handling, and lets each site's scrap be shredded to transport density before it leaves the site. When the round is done, the machine tracks onto a low-bed trailer under its own power.
Track Platform and Drive Layout
The crawler chassis carries the shredding unit, generator compartment, and conveyor as one integrated machine, operated by remote control during positioning and feeding.
- Onboard diesel generator: the shredder runs where no grid connection exists, and the 2 x 30 kW electric drive draws from the generator set wherever the machine works.
- Radio remote control: one operator tracks, positions, and feeds the machine without a second person walking beside it on uneven ground.
- Bolt-on cutting discs: the same field-replaceable disc system as our stationary range, so disc rotation and replacement remain a workshop job, not a factory return.
- Auto-reverse control: the PLC clears jams by reversing the shafts, which matters doubly on mobile duty where a jam would otherwise stop a whole site round.
- Foldable discharge conveyor: folds hydraulically for transport and road legality, and sets up in minutes at each new site.

Cost per Ton on Mobile Duty
Mobile shredding changes the cost structure of light scrap handling. Transport cost per ton falls because shredded material loads to density; labor per ton falls because one operator covers positioning, feeding, and jam clearing through remote control and auto-reverse; and the low cutting speed keeps noise and dust lower than high-speed alternatives - a real constraint when working inside occupied industrial estates. Wear cost stays predictable through the bolt-on disc system.
Typical Applications
- Demolition site cleanup and light structural steel
- Industrial estate scrap collection rounds
- Transfer station volume reduction before haulage
- Event and municipal metal waste processing on location
Before You Order
Confirm the dominant scrap types and largest cross-sections in your round, typical daily tonnage per site, and your region's road transport regulations. Throughput is rated for light scrap; heavier feed changes output and generator loading. Our engineers confirm generator sizing, disc configuration, and transport specification before build.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does it travel between sites?
The machine tracks onto a low-bed trailer under its own power. The conveyor folds hydraulically to transport position. Transport dimensions and weight are confirmed for your region's road regulations at quotation.
What maintenance does the track platform need?
Standard crawler chassis service - track tension, roller and sprocket inspection - alongside the shredder's daily checks. Both are covered in the commissioning training we provide.
Is one operator enough?
For normal duty, yes. Remote control positioning and auto-reverse jam clearing are designed so a single operator can run the machine safely on site.
What scrap can it take?
Sheet metal, aluminum profiles, cable, and light mixed scrap are the rated feed. Thick sections beyond the chamber opening need pre-cutting, the same as any machine in this size class.
